| Pride-Chem's
main focus has been on the environmentally friendly treatment of toxic
waste solution produced by the PCB industry. Initially concentrating
only on the recovery and refining of copper oxide from cupric chloride
solution, Pride-Chem recovery processes had produced copper oxide
with 45% - 50% pure copper content. |
| In
1994, these facilities were expanded to include the recovery and treatment
of copper oxide and ammonium hydroxide from spent alkaline etchant,
an end-product of the multi-layer PCB industry. |
| By
1996, Pride-Chem facilities initiated the production of value-added
copper oxide powder, with a minimum copper content of 77.5%, as well
as a high purity copper oxide powder with a minimum copper content
of 78.5%. Spent ammonium hydroxide is further refined into fresh alkaline
etchant. |
